Safeguarding

At St Thomas Community Primary School, the safety, wellbeing and protection of every child is our highest priority. We follow Wales’ Safeguarding Procedures, and all staff are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Details of these procedures can be found by following the link below:
If a child is believed to have been abused, neglected, or is at risk of harm, the school has a legal and moral duty to share relevant information with appropriate professionals and agencies. In every case, the protection and welfare of the child comes first. Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is reviewed annually to ensure it reflects best practice and keeps all pupils safe.
The school's Designated Safeguarding Person for child protection and safeguarding matters is Mr. Burns
The school's Deputy Safeguarding Person for child protection and safeguarding matters is Miss James
