Our Humanities Curriculum

Below is our current Humanities curriculum topic cycle. To ensure full coverage of the curriculum, and to provide pupils with a broad and balanced Humanities education, topics are taught on a three-year rotation. This approach allows pupils in mixed-age classes to study a wide range of History, Geography and Religions, Values and Ethics topics without repetition, while also building knowledge and skills progressively as they move through the school.

Each year within the cycle introduces new themes and concepts, enabling pupils to deepen their understanding over time and make meaningful links between topics. The cycle is carefully planned to ensure continuity, progression and equal learning opportunities for all pupils.
