Online Safety

At St Thomas Community Primary School, we work closely with children and parents to help keep everyone safe online. We know that teaching children to use technology responsibly is just as important as teaching them in the classroom.

Every class from Reception to Year 6 takes part in regular e-safety lessons, and we also work with external partners, such as the police, who visit the school to help children understand how to stay safe online.

Children are encouraged to report any online concerns immediately to a trusted adult, without fear of judgment. They also have the option to speak to a peer from our ‘Tech Team’, giving them a safe space to discuss issues with someone their own age.

To support families, we have compiled a selection of useful links and resources to help you teach your child about online safety at home:

The latest news and guidance to help you and your family stay safe, secure and smart online.
