Curriculum for Wales
The world is changing, and at St Thomas Community Primary School we are proud to be preparing our children for the future through the Curriculum for Wales.
The Curriculum for Wales has been developed by teachers and education experts across Wales to make sure every child gains the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to thrive in life, both now and in the years ahead.
At St Thomas, the curriculum supports our children through engaging, creative lessons that are meaningful and linked to real life. Learning is connected, purposeful and relevant, helping children understand the world around them and their place within it. While strong knowledge remains at the heart of learning, children are also supported to develop important skills such as confidence, creativity, problem-solving and resilience.
Our curriculum is carefully planned to meet the needs of our pupils and community, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. Through the Curriculum for Wales, we aim to develop ambitious, capable learners, healthy and confident individuals, ethical, informed citizens, and enterprising, creative contributors — values that are central to life at St Thomas Community Primary School.
