Pupil Voice
At St Thomas, we believe that every child has the right to be heard and to have their views taken seriously. Our school is proudly guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly Article 12, which states that children have the right to express their views on matters that affect them.
Pupil voice is at the heart of how our school is run. We actively encourage pupils to share their ideas, opinions and concerns, helping them to shape decisions about school life. By listening to our pupils, we ensure that St Thomas is a welcoming, inclusive and respectful community where everyone feels valued.
We support our pupils to become independent learners who are confident in expressing their thoughts. Through meaningful opportunities to contribute, pupils develop leadership skills, self-belief and a strong sense of responsibility. At St Thomas, we value every opinion. We teach pupils that their voices matter and that they can make a positive difference.
Below are our current Pupil Voice groups, each playing an important role in representing the views of our pupils and helping to improve our school.
